New Delhi, January 17, 2024: The BJP government, led by Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today decided to withdraw all political cases, which were registered by the previous Congress Government headed by Bhupesh Baghel.
The cabinet, chaired by CM Sai, decided that all political cases will be withdrawn, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao told reporters here this evening.
Briefing the media about the cabinet decision, the Deputy Chief Minister clarified cases which were registered on political ground will only be withdrawn.
A cabinet sub-committee, headed by Home Minister Vijay Sharma will examine all the cases one by one and take a decision, he said.
Dy CM Law Arun Sao and cabinet ministers Ram Vichar Netam and Lakshmi Rajwade have been made members of the sub committee.
The Cabinet also decided to relax the age limit to another five years for the educated unemployed, who are seeking government jobs.
“The age relaxation will be applicable for 5 years from January 1, 2024 till December 31, 2028,” Sao said.
