New Delhi, February 15, 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today arrived in Doha on an official visit to Qatar.
This is the second visit to Qatar by the Prime Minister. He first visited Qatar in June 2016.
The Prime Minister was received by State Minister for Foreign Affairs Soltan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi at the airport.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi met Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, in his first engagement today at Doha, Qatar.
The two leaders exchanged views on expanding bilateral cooperation in sectors such as trade, investment, energy, finance, and technology.
They also discussed recent regional developments in West Asia and emphasized the importance of upholding peace and stability in the region and beyond.
Thereafter, Prime Minister attended a dinner hosted in his honour by the Prime Minister of Qatar.
The Prime Minister will also meet the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and hold talks on bilateral as well as regional and global issues.
