Raipur, June 17, 2024: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today directed the officials to pay in cash to the tendu leave pluckers of the hyper-Maoists effected districts of the state.
On direction of the Chief Minister Sai the tendu leave pluckers from Sukma, Bijapur and Narayanpur will be paid in cash their payments,” official sources said today.
Looking into the situation and since the banks are located in far off places it was decided to pay the pluckers in cash, the sources said.
Camps will be organised in the weekly markets to pay the pluckers, they added.
The decision to this effect was taken by the Chief Minister after consultation with Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, the sources said adding the payments would be made by the forest department under the supervision of the district collector of the respective districts.
