Raipur, June 23, 2024: Maoists today blown up a truck with full load of rations for the security forces using land mines, killing two security personnel in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh.
“The Maoists triggered a land mine blast targeting a truck loaded with rations for the security forces,” Sukma District Superintendent of Police Kiran G Chavan said.
With security cover when the ration was being transported in a truck to the Tekalgudam camp of the Central Para Military Forces, the Maoists targeted the vehicle and triggered a land mine blast, Chavan said.
“In that incident two of the security personnel lost their lives,” he said adding the vehicle was also damaged due to the impact of the explosion.
The incident took place between Silger and Tekalgudam in Timmapur forest area under Sukma district.
After almost a year the Maoists carried out any such attack on the forces in that area and succeeded in causing damage.
