Ranchi, July 15, 2024: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren today met the Prime Minister Narendra Modi at New Delhi.
Soren discussed various issues, including relating to the Jharkhand development, with the Prime Minister Modi during the courtesy call, sources said.
This was the first meeting with the Prime Minister after Soren became Chief Minister for the third time.
In connection with a money laundering case linked to an alleged land scam the JMM supremo was arrested on January 31 by the Enforcement Directorate. He resigned as the chief minister before his arrest.
Soren was released from the Birsa Munda Jail on June 28 after nearly five months following bail from Jharkhand High Court.
Sources said Soren had earlier meetings with Congress leader Sonia Gandhi and Sunita Kejriwal, wife of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal besides AAP MP Sanjay Singh.
