Raipur, March 25, 2025: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today took a major initiative to give a new identity to Jashpur district.

The Chief Minister inaugurated the Adventure Zone at Mayali Nature Camp in Kunkuri and also three major tourism circuits for the district.
Sai inaugurated Spiritual and Heritage, Nature and Wildlife and Adventure Tourism Circuits. This move will not only make Jashpur a major tourist destination within Chhattisgarh but will also open doors to new opportunities for the local youth.
Sai himself boarded a pontoon boat and observed the panoramic view of Madheshwar Mahadev and said that Mayali Adventure Zone will now become a centre of adventure and employment. Adventure activities like aqua cycling, kayaking, speed boat, floating jetty, bumper boat have been started here.

A glimpse of three new tourist circuits
The three major tourist circuits inaugurated by the Chief Minister reflect the diversity and specialty of Jashpur. The Spiritual and Heritage Circuit starts from Kotebira and passes through places like Tamta, Kailash Cave, Madheshwar Mountain, Sharda Dham, Gwalin Sarna – this circuit offers a precious glimpse of faith, heritage and tribal traditions.
The Natural and Wildlife Circuit will attract those tourists who seek peace in the lap of nature. It includes Makarbhanja Waterfall, Badalkhol Sanctuary, Ranidah and Gullu Waterfall to the tea garden of Sarudih – this circuit full of natural heritage will be no less than a paradise for environment lovers.
The Adventure Tourism Circuit will attract adventure lovers. It includes places like Danagari Camp Site, Belwar Waterfall, Desdekha Hill Camp, Sarna Eco Ethnic Resort and Climbing Sector, which will become an ideal place for activities like trekking, climbing and nature-camping.

Mountaineering expedition for tribal youth:
On the initiative of Chief Minister Sai, now the tribal youth of Jashpur will get training in mountaineering, rope climbing etc. in Miyad Valley of Himachal Pradesh. The trained youth will return and train the local youth as well, which will strengthen both tourism and youth power, official sources said.
The children who went on the expedition told Sai they are happy that they have got this unique opportunity. The Chief Minister said that the youth are being encouraged by the government for various adventure sports.
Recently, a mountaineer daughter of Chhattisgarh had expressed her desire to hoist the tricolor on the highest peak of Africa, for which financial assistance was immediately provided. She conquered Kilimanjaro. “Similarly, you also have to work hard and make the state proud,” the Chief Minister said.
On this, young Tejal Bhagat said “now it is our turn, we will also make the state proud”.

Women of self-help group said- Tourism has changed their lives
Women of Lakshmi and Tulsi self-help group working in Mayali Nature Camp met the Chief Minister and thanked him. They said due to tourism, they are now getting regular income and children are also getting employment opportunities. Women thanked the Chief Minister by presenting a wooden artwork of Madheshwar Mahadev.
This initiative of the Chief Minister is making tourism not just a tour but a means of socio-economic empowerment. This is a historic beginning to take the natural beauty, spiritual heritage and tribal self-confidence of Jashpur to the national level.
