Raipur, July 19, 2023: Chhattisgarh Assembly today passed the first supplementary budget of Rs 6032 crore. With that the total size of state budget has crossed Rs 1 lakh crore.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, who also holds the Finance portfolio, had moved the first supplementary of Rs 6032 crore, 75 lakh, 2 thousand and 977.
With the supplementary budget passed today the total size of the state budget has reached Rs 1 lakh, 27 thousand 532 crore.
Replying to a debate, Chief Minister Baghel assured the members that the fiscal condition of the state is sound.
Financial condition of the state is better now due to better fiscal management and even the state is having revenue surplus.
Keeping election in mind, the Chief Minister has also announced several packages to various segments of the government employees and also some welfare schemes.
For road construction and other developmental works also the Chief Minister had made provisions in this supplementary budget.
