Raipur, June 04, 2025: The “Chhattisgarh Homestay Policy 2025-30” was approved in the meeting of the Council of Ministers organised under the chairmanship of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai.
Today, the Council of Ministers approved the “Chhattisgarh Homestay Policy 2025-30” to promote tourism in rural and tribal dominated areas in the state and provide new employment opportunities to the local people.

Officials said that the objective of the Homestay Policy is to promote tourism in the villages of Chhattisgarh and especially in the remote areas of Bastar and Sarguja. This will give new employment opportunities to the youth there.

Through homestay, tourists will get a special experience related to the culture, art, craft and nature of the village, as well as, it will directly benefit the people living in the villages and increase their income.
In a way, this will prove to be important in achieving the goal of Vocal for Local and the development of rural tourism in the country, the officials clarified.
