Raipur, February 14, 2025: Chhattisgarh Government has cancelled the lease deed of four industries due to outstanding amount of crores of rupees of land revenue and maintenance charges, while notices have been issued to about 300 industrial units for not paying the outstanding amount.

Lease deed of four industries have been cancelled in the last one month due to outstanding amount of crores of land revenue and maintenance charges from industries located in industrial areas Sirgitti, Tifra and Silphari of Bilaspur district, official sources said.
Instructions have also been given to cancel the allotted plot on non-payment of outstanding amount. And due to this, till now 3 crore 62 lakh 82 thousand rupees have been recovered, and this process is going on continuously, they added.
Currently crores of rupees are pending on about 300 industrial units. Due to non-payment on time, penalty ranging from 12 to 24 per cent is being imposed, which is being generated online, the sources said.

As per the rules, there is a provision of penalty for not depositing land revenue and maintenance charges by January 10 every year.
Notices are being issued continuously by the Chief General Manager of the District Trade and Industry Center.
Industrialists have been requested to pay their dues online immediately. No work of any kind will be done by the Industries Department for the non-paying units, the sources clarified.
The government has said that if any industry is facing any difficulty in making payment, they can contact the branch office of CSIDC, or the Chief General Manager of the District Trade and Industry Center.
