     Raipur, April 3, 2026: A highly thrilling and neck-and-neck contest unfolded today between Chhattisgarh and West Bengal in the men’s football final, played at the Swami Vivekananda Athletic Stadium in Kota, Raipur, as part of the Khelo India Tribal Games.

     In this fiercely fought match, Chhattisgarh faced defeat and had to settle for the silver medal.

     Both teams delivered an outstanding performance in the final match, leaving the spectators thoroughly thrilled.

     The Chhattisgarh team showcased magnificent coordination, swift attacks, and a robust defense. Playing with full zeal and confidence, the players kept the match evenly balanced throughout every moment of the game.

     By halftime, the West Bengal team held a 1-0 lead. The Chhattisgarh team launched continuous attacks and made every possible effort to score a goal, but they were unable to find success.

     Yashwant Kumar, Secretary of the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare, along with officials from various departments, representatives from the Sports Authority of India, and sports enthusiasts, gathered in large numbers at the stadium to witness the final match.
