Raipur, June 04, 2025: Chhattisgarh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, today decided to start the Yuva Ratna Samman award to honour the individuals and organisations doing remarkable work in various fields of youth welfare in Chhattisgarh.
The cabinet has taken an important decision to start the Yuva Ratna Samman Yojana to honour the individuals and organisations doing remarkable work in various fields of youth welfare in the state, official sources said.

Under this scheme, individuals or voluntary organisations doing extraordinary and special service work in the field of youth welfare will be honoured with “Chhattisgarh Yuva Ratna Samman”.
Chhattisgarh Yuva Ratna Samman will be given every year to one youth and one voluntary organization of the state for their excellent work. In this, the youth will be given a medal, certificate, shawl and a maximum prize money of Rs 2.50 lakh, while the institution will be given a maximum prize money of Rs 5 lakh.
Along with this, “Yuva Ratna Samman” will be given in the field of social, literature, innovation, education, sports, environment, women and child development, media, health, science and technology, empowerment of physically challenged, art-music and folk art.
Yuva Ratna Samman will be given every year to one youth selected for excellent work. Which includes medal, medal certificate, shawl and maximum one lakh rupees.
This award will be given only to women and girls for doing excellent work in the field of women and child development.
The applicant should be a native of Chhattisgarh and his age should be between 15 to 29 years. Government employees, people working in government undertakings and educational institutions will not be eligible.
Officials clarified that a person or institution can get the award of only one category in a single year and the award of one category will not be given to anyone again.
