Raipur, October 07, 2024: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence in the national capital and discussed about the developmental works of the state.
The Chief Minister briefed the Prime Minister about the development works being carried out in the state in the last nine months, highlighting the major initiatives taken in the field of agriculture, skill development and education, official sources said.
He informed that the state government is paying special attention to the development of roads, schools, hospitals and other infrastructure. Special efforts are also being made for employment generation and rural development, so that people from Naxal-affected areas can join the mainstream.
Sai also informed Modi about the recently held operation, in which 31 Maoists were killed by the security forces. He also appraised him about the operations being carried out by the forces against the Maoists.
The Prime Minister praised the courage of the security forces on the success of this operation.
During the meeting, Sai also thanked Modi for sanctioning eight lakh houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
Prime Minister Modi appreciated the efforts of the Chhattisgarh government and said that the development journey of the state is an inspiration for other states.
He assured Chief Minister Sai of even more support and cooperation for the progress of the state.
