Raipur, November 20, 2024: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and discussed development, security and other major issues of the state.

During the meeting, Chief Minister Sai briefed him about the progress of operations being conducted in Maoist affected areas, official sources said.
The state government is taking several steps in the field of road construction, education, health and employment, which is bringing positive change in Maoists affected areas, Sai told Shah.
The Home Minister appreciated these efforts and assured all possible cooperation from the Center. Strategies for rooting out of Maoists were also discussed in the meeting.

Chief Minister Sai said that under the guidance of Home Minister Shah, the Chhattisgarh is fighting against Maoists strongly.
On the security front, state government has achieved great success in anti-Naxal operations. In the last 11 months, about 200 Maoists have been killed, while more than 700 Naxalites have surrendered, Sai said.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, the state government is moving towards the resolution of ending Maoism by March 2026, the Chief Minister added.
Sai said that the central government is committed to security and development in the state.
Union Home Minister Shah has assured the Chhattisgarh government of all possible cooperation against Maoism.
