Raipur, January 17, 2024: Chhattisgarh Government today asked the jail authorities to distribute sweets among all the jail inmates throughout the state on January 22, next, when Pran Pratistha will be carried out at Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
Deputy Chief Minister Home and Jail Vijay Sharma today visited the Raipur Central Jail and enquired about the security apparatus and whether extra facilities are being provided to any jail inmates.
The visit of Sharma assumed significance as there were reports that IAS and other top officials and businessmen close to the previous Congress Government led by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, who are in judicial remand for their alleged involvement in coal-scam, liquor scam and Mahadev online gambling among other charges, had been provided home like facilities and food at the Raipur Central Jail.
Sharma also inspected the Jail Hospital and the video conference room and issued instructions to the jail officials not to favour any one.

The Deputy Chief Minister himself spoken to many jail inmates and inquired about their alleged crime and the days spent in jail.

The Deputy Chief Minister also asked the jail authorities to provide sweets to all the jail inmates on January 22, next when the nation will celebrate the Pran Pratistha at Ayodhya Ram Mandir.
