     Raipur, March 10, 2025: ED (Enforcement Directorate) today conducted an early morning raid on the Bhilai residence of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel for his son’s alleged involvement in liquor scam.

     Reports suggested that the ED conducted raids in multiple locations of Chhattisgarh for alleged involvement of Chaitanya Baghel, son of former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, in the liquor scam.

     Baghel was voted out from power in 2023 Assembly election and is currently AICC General Secretary in-charge of Punjab.

     Both father and son live in their Bhilai home.

     Sleuth from the ED also raided the premises of people close to Chaitanya, media reports said.

     A team of officials with elaborate security reached early morning at the Bhilai house of Baghel and started their probe, sources claimed.

     The agency has not yet issued any press release on the matter.

     Several top bureaucrats and Kawasi Lakhma, who was Excise Minister in Bhupesh Baghel cabinet, are currently in jail, waiting for completion of trial, for their alleged involvement in the liquor scam.
