Raipur, September 03, 2010: At least half a dozen BJP activists and leaders were injured today when two groups of the ruling party clashed during the visit of BJP National President Nitin Gadkari.
At least half a dozen BJP people are injured, three of them seriously and rushed to hospital after two rival groups of the BJP clashed while welcoming Gadkari, BJP sources said.
The sources claimed the rival factions are affiliated to two of the powerful ministers of the Raman cabinet namely Brij Mohan Agrawal and Rajesh Munat.
However, when asked by ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com Munat refused to attach importance to the clash.
Raipur District Collector Sanjay Garg and SP Deepanshu Kaabra also tried to downplay the incident when contacted.
Gadkari was on a two day visit of the state to attend various functions of the party.
