Raipur, September 23, 2025: Two top most Maoists commanders, who were responsible for spreading of the red network in Central India, have been shot dead by the security forces in Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh, a top police officers said today.
In a coordinated operation, police forces have killed Kadri Satyanarayan Reddy known among Maoist cadre as Kosa and Katta Ramachandra Reddy alias Gudsa Usendi, alias Raju Dada in a gun battle in the forestry area of Farasbeda and Toymeta in Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh, Inspector General of Police Sundarraj P told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.
Both Kosa and Gudsa Usendi were the member of the all-powerful Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) and were carrying a reward of Rs 1.8 crore each on their head, because of their alleged involvement in attack on police parties, killing of security forces and civilians, arsons and other serious crimes.
For the last over three decades both were active in Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee, an area comprising from portion of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
Katta Ramachandra Reddy was the Secretary of the Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee since 2019.
Kadri Satyanarayan Reddy alias Kosa was the main accused in the killing of the then Rajnandgaon District Superintendent of Police Vinod Kumar Choubey in Madanwada, and kidnapping of Sukma Collector Alex Paul Menon in Bastar region of Chhattisgarh, police said.
He was main accused in a total of 62 cases, including 48 in Maharashtra, 6 each in Chhattisgarh and Telangana, 2 in Andhra Pradesh.
Kosa was main accused in killing of 6 villagers in a Kangaroo court in Kachchapal, killing of 27 security forces, including SP Choubey in Madanwada, 17 forces in Markatola of Gadchiroli area in Maharashtra, 4 forces in Irpanar ambush.
Gudsa Usendi alias Raju alias Katta Ramachandra Reddy was involved in killing of 27 security forces of CRPF in Mahrabeda, 22-22 personnel in Jonagudem and Tekalguda, 4 in Bukiltor IED blast.
Gudsa Usendi was also main accused in total 27 cases, including 16 in Chhattisgarh, 5 cases in Maharashtra, 4 in Telangana and 2 in Andhra Pradesh.
