Raipur, November 24, 2024: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said today the BJP government of the state is committed to the development of sports in the state and to promote talented players.

Addressing the closing ceremony of the 33rd Open Challenge Trophy Football Competition held today at Baghbahar Mini Stadium in Pathalgaon Tehsil of Jashpur district, the Chief Minister congratulated and wished the organizers and players for the successful organization of this competition.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started Khelo India to promote sports. Because of this many talented players are emerging in India, the Chief Minister said.
His government is also committed to the development of sports in the state and to promote talented players, Sai said.

The Chief Minister said recently he spoke to mountaineer Nisha Yadav of Bilaspur by phone. She wants to hoist the tricolor on Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. “I gave her a cheque of Rs 3 lakh 45 thousand so that she can fulfill her dream,” he said.
Similarly, he had spoken to badminton player Ritika Dhruv, daughter of a poor family of Dhamtari, over phone and had taken the responsibility of providing full help from the government, the Chief Minister added.
