Raipur, July 30, 2024: Veteran BJP leader from Assam Ramen Deka will take oath as the new Governor of Chhattisgarh tomorrow.
Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court Justice Ramesh Sinha will administer oath of office and secrecy to Ramen Deka as the new Governor at 10.15 AM tomorrow.
All preparation are in full swing for the oath ceremony at the Raj Bhawan, official sources told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.
Deka earlier in the evening arrived at the state capital Raipur.

He was welcomed at the state hanger by the Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai.
Deka was given Guard of Honour.

At the Raj Bhawan also he was welcomed by the staff, led by his Secretary Yashwant Kumar.

Born on March 1, 1954 in Sualkuchi Deka was elected to Lok Sabha on a BJP ticket twice.
A former National Secretary of BJP, Deka was also made the BJP state President in 2014.
Deka had served the 15th Lok Sabha, representing the Mangaldoi constituency, in 2009.
He again became MP in 2014 from the same Lok Sabha seat, sources said.
Earlier in the day outgoing Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan was accorded a warm send off from Raipur when he went to Bhubaneswar, where his son Prithwiraj Harichandan is a Minister in the BJP Government led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
