Raipur, September 01, 2024: Preparation are in full swing in the Chief Minister House at Civil Line Raipur for celebration of Teeja and Pora tomorrow.
From 11 AM to 1 PM the Teeja Pora and Mahtari Vandan festival would be celebrated at the CM House tomorrow, official sources said.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai was seen personally supervising the decoration of the CM House for the festival and issued suitable directions also for proper arrangements.
Finance Minister O P Choudhary and Secretary to CM P Dayanand were present on that occasion.
After celebrating Chhattisgarh’s traditional festival Hareli, now CM house is decorated as a tableau of traditional pride of Teej-Pora. It was being decorated with beautiful clay Nandi Baila and colorful toys.
Sources said Chief Minister’s wife Kaushalya Sai has prepared Chhattisgarhi traditional sweets Thethri-Khurmi along with other dishes.
The previous Congress government led by Bhupesh Baghel wanted to be known as the champion of local traditions, hence he started such traditional festivals being celebrated at CM House and the BJP government is continuing with the same tradition.
Before Teej-Pora festival, Chief Minister would send one thousand rupees each for Mahtari Vandan Yojana to the accounts of over 70 lakh women by pressing a button from his residence.
On this occasion, Nandiya-Baila will be worshipped. Teeja Mahotsav will be organized. Sisters have been invited to the program for Teeja-Pora festival. In this way, the Chief Minister’s residence will become a maternal home for women for a day.
About 3 thousand women, including women beneficiaries of Mahtari Vandan Yojana, women of women self-help groups and Mitanins, have been specially invited to the program.
Chief Minister Sai will also release posters related to nutrition and health on the occasion of National Nutrition Month 2024. Along with this, Sai will also flag off the Suposhan Rath from the venue.
