Raipur, December 03, 2024: Creating a record Rabi crop sowing has exceeded 428 lakh hectares in the country this season, official sources said today.
The Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare of India has released progress of area coverage under Rabi crops as on 2nd December 2024.

A total of 200.35 lakh hectares area coverage under Wheat has been reported this Rabi season as compared to 187.97 lakh hectares during the corresponding period of last year, Central Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare sources said.
Pulses coverage has been reported 108.95 lakh hectares as compared to 105.14 lakh hectares during the corresponding period of last year.
29.24 lakh ha area coverage under Shri Anna and Coarse Cereals has been reported compared to 24.67 lakh ha during the corresponding period of last year, the sources said.
