Raipur, October 28, 2022: A vehicle engaged in security duty for BJP Chhattisgarh President Arun Sao met with an accident today between Dhamtari and Raipur, injuring a policeman.
One of the vehicles travelling with BJP President hit a road divider near Dhamtari and turned turtle, in which one of the policemen was injured, officials said.
BJP state President is safe and unhurt in that incident, they said.
However, a motor cycle rider lost balance of his two-wheeler seeing the vehicle turning turtle and went into a paddy field and in that incident the pillion rider woman died due to severe head injury.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel expressed sorrow over the death of the woman and also wished speedy recovery of the policeman.
While returning back from Kanker after attending the function to pay tributes to Deputy Speaker Manoj Mandavi the accident took place, the sources said.
