Raipur, August 26, 2023: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today wrote a letter to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi against the previous Dr Raman Singh government and said despite declaration of ODF 15 lakh families of the state are lacking proper toilet facilities.
The Chief Minister has also through the letter demanded a probe into the entire matter.
Despite declaration of ODF in January 2028, 15 lakh families of the state lacked proper toilet facilities, which is a matter of serious concern, Baghel said demanding probe into the matter.
The previous government has constructed 32 lakh toilets with an expenditure of Rs 4000 crore and still 23.2 per cent families are reprieved of the toilet facilities, he said.
The Chief Minister has also urged the Prime Minister to increase the assistance from Rs 12000 to 30,000 for construction of toilets.
