Raipur, August 26, 2010: Chhattisgarh government has suspended 41 employees and officials of the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Department for not joining at their new place of positing.
The state government had issued transfer orders on July 12 and 15 for the Chief Executive Officers, Project Officers and Engineers of various grades among others in the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Departments asking them to join by July last, officials said here.
“It was clearly mentioned in the transfer orders that the government employees ought to join at their place of posting by July 30, 2010. Employees having failed to do so would automatically be suspended after the deadline,” the officials said.
In spite of that order, the Department found several employees had not assume their charges at the new place of posting because of which the government had suspended 41 of its employees for refusing to obey the government orders, they said.
