Raipur, July 12, 2025: 23 Naxalites carrying a reward of Rs 1.18 crore have surrendered in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh today.
Including these, a total of 45 Naxalites have expressed faith in the democratic system by abandoning the path of violence in the last 24 hours.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, while reacting to this development, said this is not just a surrender, but a symbol of the victory of faith, which the state government has taken to every village through people-oriented schemes like Niyyad Nellanar.
Now here, not the bullet of the gun, but the voice of development is being heard, he said.
The Chief Minister said that in the last 15 months, 1521 Naxalites have surrendered, which is a clear proof that the reach and trust of the government in Naxal-affected areas has continuously increased.
This success also reflects the positivity of the state government’s ‘New Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy 2025’, under which the Naxalites who give up arms are being given not only social respect but also rehabilitation and livelihood opportunities.
Sai said that this change is a living example of the vision of good governance being implemented under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the guidance of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
He expressed confidence that the state will be completely free from Naxalism within the stipulated time frame and every citizen of the Bastar region will join the mainstream of development.
