Raipur, April 15, 2023: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today said zero load shedding in Chhattisgarh is a great relief to the people.
“Zero load shedding and the government scheme of 50 per cent rebate in electricity bill have given a great relief to the people of the state,” Chief Minister Baghel said.
Addressing the Power Engineers Conclave here, the Chief Minister also announced to give a three per cent technical allowance to the engineers.
Under the Rebate scheme about 42 lakh consumers of the state have been benefitted, Baghel said adding so far Rs 3236 crore had been given as rebate.
Talking about the power demands, he said Chhattisgarh had the peak demand of 4100 MW in the year 2018 that had been currently increased to 5100 MW.
When the state was created in the year 2000 the per capita power consumption was 300 units which has now been increased to 2000 units, Baghel said.
Despite of such high demands there is no power cut in the state, which is also a great relief to the people, he added.
The Chief Minister also promised to start cash less medical treatment scheme for the employees of the Power Companies.
