Raipur, July 05, 2023: Chhattisgarh Government has established 51 manufacturing units to make paints from cow dung, officials said today.
Paint units have been set up in cow sheds or gothans to make paints from cow dung and so far 2 lakh 66 thousand 155 litres of paints have been produced through these units, they said.
So far 2 lakh litres of paints had been sold worth ₹ 4.15 crore.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel wants to protect the cows, because of which the gothans have been set up in various gram panchayats of the state.
In such gothans 51 paint manufacturing units have also been set up.
Among the 51 units, 47 have started functioning, the sources said.
Another 13 units are under construction, they said.
