Raipur, November 25, 2024: To commemorate the completion of 75 years of the Constitution, Chhattisgarh Government has decided to organise various programmes throughout the year in the schools, colleges and gram panchayats of the state to aware the people about the Indian Constitution, official sources said today.

The tagline of ‘Our Constitution, Our Self-Respect’ has been set for organizing these programmes. School children will be encouraged to participate in MyGov competitions on www.mygov.in and youth participation activities on MyBharat.gov.in.
Quiz, debate and speech competitions will be organized in schools and colleges to commemorate the completion of 75 years of the Constitution, official sources said.

A 15-day Samvidhan Yatra will be taken out in Scheduled Caste, Tribe villages. During the Yatra, wherever there are statues of Baba Saheb Ambedkar, floral tributes will be offered to them.
Gram Sabhas will also be organised in the Gram Panchayats, wherein the fundamental duties of citizens under Article 51A of the Constitution will be read out and explained.

On this occasion, living freedom fighters will be honoured. In the villages associated with the members of the Constituent Assembly, special functions will be organised with special emphasis on the contribution of women members of the Constituent Assembly, the sources said.
Quiz will be organised in schools and colleges on the provisions of the Constitution, the process of constitution making, fundamental rights, duties and directive principles of state policy and latest amendments etc.
Along with this, debate seminars on the rights and duties of citizens and other constitutional issues, in which programmes are being organised to promote social empowerment, women empowerment, gender equality, making the Constitution flexible to face challenges with time and to give information about the latest and major amendments.
