Raipur, September 10, 2008: The first ever international cricket stadium of Chhattisgarh is ready here to host the 20-twenty match on Thursday.
This international stadium is only next to Eden Garden stadium to host as many as 60,000 viewers, and on the security point also this stadium is the best in India, said the youth icon of Raman Government and Sports Minister Brij Mohan Agrawal.
Talking to the ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com, the smart minister of the BJP government said with an estimated cost of Rs 98.45 crore the stadium was constructed in Parsada village near the new capital project and about 17 km away from the Raipur city.
Spread over 50 acre land, the stadium can promise to provide a five-star facility to 90 players at a time in side the stadium campus, he said.
What was a personal pride for Agrawal was also the pride for Chhattisgarh as it would be inaugurated on Thursday with an exhibition match of 20-twenty between international players.
Among the likely players to participate in the exhibition match are Praveen Kumar, M. Prabhakar, Atul Wasan, Vivek Razdan, Chetan Chouhan, Sanjeev Sharma, Yusuf Pathan, Nayan Mongia, Atul Bedade, Manoj Tiwari, S S Paul, Pragyan Ojha, V Raju, S Joshi, Dillip Vengsarkar, P Vaidya, Rabin Singh, Venkatesh Prasad, Pankaj Singh, Kirti Azad, Sanjay Jagdale, S Asnodkar and Dinesh Kartik.
