Raipur, March 12, 2011: President of India Pratibha Patil today told Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dharam Lal Kaushik she would be visiting Chhattisgarh after this month to participate in various functions of the state assembly.
Speaker Kaushik and Secretary Devendra Verma met the President at her office and invited her today to address the House and also to inaugurate the Central Hall, constructed inside the Assembly premises.
The President has given her consent to attend both the functions of the Chhattisgarh Assembly, according to sources.
But the President would only be coming after March or the next financial year, starting from April 1, they said.
Speaker had earlier expressed his desire that the President should give time during the current Monsoon session of the state assembly.
