Raipur, June 15, 2011: A large number of Maoists attacked the residence of a former MLA Nandaram Sodhi in Dantewada district in Chhattisgarh and shot at his brother, officials said today.
Large number of Maoists raided the house of former MLA Nandaram Sodhi at his village Bedma in Katekalyan block last night and assaulted his brother Budma Ram Sodhi, officials said.
Budma Ram also received bullet on his leg and was seriously injured, they said.
Accusing him as police informer, Maoists said to have attacked Sodhi, the officials said.
Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh has condemned the incident and wished Sodhi an early recovery.
