Raipur, April 11, 2012: Main opposition Congress today said it would take the mining scam of Chhattisgarh and especially the alleged irregularities in coal sector to the people during the assembly election to be held next year.
“Since the state government is not going for a CBI probe into the CAG report on Bhatgaon-II Coal block matter, we will take the issue to the people’s court,” AICC General Secretary in-charge of Chhattisgarh B K Hariprasad told reporters here.
The state PCC had raised several issues of large scale corruption in various projects and all those things would definitely be made election issues during the Assembly poll, he said.
The report of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) has vindicated the allegation of the Congress party about the alleged irregularities in mining and other sectors in Chhattisgarh during the BJP regime, the AICC General Secretary said.
“The CAG report has exposed the dual face of the BJP,” Hariprasad said adding the saffron party was taking one stand at Delhi on the CAG report and here in Chhattisgarh they were dismissing report of the same CAG as fictitious.
