Kawardha, July 16, 2010: Chhattisgarh has a great potential for pisciculture to change the life of the people, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh said here today.
After inaugurating the first ever pisciculture college here, the Chief Minister said Chhattisgarh is a state of rivers, reservoirs and ponds.
Looking into its large number of water sources, there was a great potential for pisciculture in the state, he said.
Underlining the importance of induction of newer technology and technique to increase productivity, he said there were lot of scope for traning and education on the pisciculture sector.
Agrculture Minister Chandrasekhar Sahu told the function that the college would help the fishing community in getting the right kind of information and technology on pisciculture and related matters.
