Jagdalpur, September 12, 2012: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today came down heavily on the management of the Central public sector undertaking National Mineral Development Corporation for not attending the Bastar Development Authority meeting here.
The Chief Minister also took seriously the complaint of the people’s representatives of Bastar region and officials about the lack lustre attitude of NMDC authority and not attending even meetings.
It was objectionable that the NMDC officials had not attended the Bastar Development Authority meeting today, Singh said.
He also directed the Chief Secretary Sunil Kumar to review the rehabilitation work of the NMDC project affected people with the Central PSU Chairman cum Managing Director and other board of directors.
NMDC is engaged in large scale mining of iron ore in Dantewada district and it was alleged that the Company has not released a large amount of money meant for corporate social responsibility (CSR).
