Raipur, May 12, 2013: Maoists today attacked the Jagdalpur Transmission Centre of Doordarshan in Bastar district of Chhattisgarh and killed three policemen and injured one seriously, a top police official said.
“Maoists have attacked the Transmission Centre of Doordarshan wee hours today,” Director General of Police of Chhattisgarh Ramniwas told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com here.
“Three security personnel were shot dead and another is seriously injured in the incident, that took place inside the premises of the Transmission Centre,” Ramniwas said.
The injured security personnel has been evacuated to Raipur for treatment, he said.
It was not immediately known how many rebels were involved in that incident.
The transmission centre is located in the outskirt of Jagdalpur.
