Raipur, October 28, 2015: Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will be the Chief Guest in the Rajyotshav function on November 1, 2015, official sources said.
However, looking into the prevailed drought situation of the state, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh has decided to celebrate the state foundation day for only one day.
Unlike the previous years of celebrating the creation of Chhattisgarh for a week, this year it would be only of one day programme, the sources said.
The administration has already started the preparation for the visit of Jaitley.
Chhattisgarh was carved out from Madhya Pradesh on November 1, 2000.
