     Raipur, October 29, 2015: A high level Central team arrived today at Raipur to have first hand information about the drought condition of Chhattisgarh.

      Led by Joint Secretary Agriculture R K Singh, a nine-member team arrived here to take stock of the situation.

     The team will visit various districts and tehsils and submit its report to the Centre.

     Chhattisgarh had already declared its 93 tehsils drought affected and sent a report to the Centre seeking central assistance.

     The Central team will make field visit and discuss with the agriculture and other department officials till October 31 before submitting its report to the Centre, R K Singh told reporters.
