Birgaon, November 19, 2015: People of Birgaon Municipal Corporation have a split verdict in the election.
When the post of mayor went to Ambika Yadu of BJP, Congress has won in majority of places out the 40 wards. BJP has won from 13 places while in six places people preferred independent candidates.
This would create a problem in smooth running of the Corporation.
During the electioneering, Birgaon saw a high voltage drama, police action and open violation of model code of conduct by both the Congress and the BJP.
