Jagdalpur, April 13, 2023: Top Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi today praised the Congress government in Chhattisgarh led by Bhupesh Baghel.
Priyanka praised the Bhupesh Government for its purchase of paddy, forest produces in minimum support price and also for its health model among many other schemes.
Prime Ministers Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi had lot of respect for the people of Bastar, Priyanka said at Bastar divisional headquarters Jagdalpur.
Bastar has changed; Chief Minister Baghel said adding where earlier people were hearing the sounds of guns are now being echoed with the songs of the youth.
Bastar youths are now getting more employments, he said.
Priyanka while attending the “Bharose ka Sammelan” launched the Mukhyamantree Adiwasi Parab Samman Nidhi Yojana, which will help the tribals to protect and celebrate their traditional festivals and culture.
Under the scheme each gram panchayats of the Scheduled area would be provided Rs 10,000 per annum by the state government and its first instalment of Rs 5000 was provided today to 1840 gram panchayats.
The Chief Minister also announced to upgrade the Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini stadium of international standard with football, hockey and tennis grounds
The Chief Minister also gifted about Rs 130 crore worth of various developmental works for the Bastar.
Rs 62.29 crore worth of developmental works were dedicated whereas foundation stones had been laid for 34 developmental works worth Rs 66.70 crore.
