The state government has also stated that the person, who are sentenced for rape or sexual harassment case, have been banned from getting government jobs.
Chief Minister Baghel had announced on August 15 last to bring in a notification banning government job to such accused or convicted.
This is definitely a welcome step by the Chief Minister regarding women safety and security as it is everyone’s responsibility to protect the dignity, security and safety of the women.
However, crimes against women have increased many folds and more worrisome is the fact that small girls are even being targeted.
Despite all efforts to modernise the police force and sensitise the society, the crime against women are seen in an upward swing.
