Raipur, January 02, 2024: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today asked all the District Collectors and SPs to take stern action in case of a law and order situation in the state due to the nation-wide truck and bus drivers’ strike.
“It will not be tolerated if there is shortage of essential commodities due to the drivers’ strike,” Chief Minister told the officials.
The Chief Minister today took a review meeting with the Chief Secretary and other senior officials and also had a video conference with the District collectors and SPs on the issue.
Law and order situation should never happen because of the strike, he said adding else the district collectors and SPs will be responsible for that and stern action will be taken against them.
CM Sai also asked the administration to keep an eye on the rumour mongers.
Due to strike by the truck drivers, out of panic and apprehensive of shortage of fuel, people are seen making queues in the petrol pumps across the state.
Meanwhile, complaints have also been received from common men alleging price rise of some commodities due to the strike.
