Raipur, February 20, 2024: Members from both the opposition Congress and ruling BJP today expressed concern in Chhattisgarh Assembly over the illegal mining of sands from the rivers of the state.
Senior BJP legislature Dharamjeet Singh urged the Minister to take an aerial survey and see how heavy machines are being deployed for mining of sands from rivers and if his statement was found wrong he was ready to resign from the house.

Congress MLS Sheshraj Harbansh had raised the issue during question hour and many members joined her, including Rikesh Sen of BJP among others.
