New Delhi, May 18, 2024: Delhi police today detained Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s aide Bibhav Kumar on allegation of assault on AAP MP Swati Maliwal, media reports said.
Quoting unnamed police officer, media reports said Kumar was picked up from the residence of the Delhi chief minister.
He has been taken to the police station for interrogation, they said.
Meanwhile AAP Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha, who was abroad when Kejriwal was arrested, arrived today at the CM’s official residence.
Questions were also raised over his long absence. But a Delhi minister had said that Chadha had developed a serious eye ailment which could have led to blindness, because of which he had undergone an eye surgery in the UK and was away for a longer duration.
