Raipur, June 19, 2024: Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais today met the Prime Minister Narendra Modi at New Delhi.
Ramesh Bais discussed several issues relating to Maharashtra with the Prime Minister, sources said.
The governor briefed the Prime Minister about the political and law and order situation of Maharashtra, sources claimed.
Maharashtra will go for Assembly election for its 288 member house in the year end for which all political parties have started their preparation.
For BJP the Maharashtra election matters as it was having a high stake especially after it engineered split in both the Shiv Sena and NCP to form its government.
In the recently held Lok Sabha election the ruling alliance had failed to perform well and taking responsibility Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis had offered to resign from his post.
BJP is worried about the Maharashtra Assembly election, political analytics said.
