Raipur, July 21, 2024: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today met the Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh a day before the start of the Monsoon session of the Chhattisgarh Assembly.
The Chief Minister Sai met the Speaker Singh at Speaker House and discussed various issues, official sources said.
CM Sai also discussed various developmental schemes, initiated by his government, with the Speaker, the sources said.
However, a state government release termed it a “courtesy meeting”.
The Monsoon Session of the 90-member Chhattisgarh assembly will start tomorrow and continue till July 26, 2024.
Main Opposition Congress had been demanding a lengthy session instead of a five sittings to discuss in details about various problems of the state.
However, ruling BJP said even during the Congress regime the state had smaller sessions.
