Raipur, July 23, 2024: The first supplementary budget of Vishnu Dev Sai government was passed today in a voice vote in the Chhattisgarh Assembly.
The Rs 7,329 crore first supplementary budget was yesterday moved by the Finance Minister O P Choudhary and after a discussion by both the treasury and opposition member it was passed today in the state assembly.
With the first supplementary budget, the total outlay of the Chhattisgarh budget has increased to Rs 1 lakh 54 thousand and 775 crore for this fiscal.
The supplementary budget has provisions for Mahatari Vandan Yojana, Niyad Nellanar, PM Janman Yojana and also provisions for sports among others.
Under the Niyad Nellanar Yojana 53 CRPF camps will be constructed along with the development of the villages of those areas, which are hit by Maoist violence in Bastar region of the state.
Chief Minister Pilgrimage Scheme (Mukhyamantree Tirth Yatra Yojana) will again be started, Choudhary said.
For the people arrested under the Maintenance of Internal Security Act (MISA) during the Emergency, the BJP government has made a provision of Rs 42 crore as MISA Bandi Pension Scheme.
