Raipur, January 2, 2009: Chhattisgarh Administration is seems not serious towards carrying out developmental works in the state and especially in important districts like Raipur and Durg.
Many bureaucrats today expressed surprised the way the state administration was giving lack of importance to the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development works when Chhattisgarh lives in villages.
Had that been not true than the state government would not have left the posts of Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer of two important districts vacant, senior officials said.
After Durg Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Avinash Champawat is made Collector Narayanpur on December 19, last to replace Nawal Singh Mandavi that post in Durg district is laying vacant.
The Raipur Zilla Panchayat CEO Amit Kataria is also on the last day of 2008 removed from his post. Kataria is shifted as Commissioner of Raipur Municipal Corporation as the services of Jitendra Shukla has been returned to the General administration Department.
Although both the posts are vacant the state was not seems serious towards appointing officers to monitor the development works of both the districts, they said.
