Raipur, January 6, 2009: Will Chhattisgarh have a new secretary soon for the School Education Department?
The new School Education Minister Brij Mohan Agrawal is said to be giving a lukewarm response to the current Secretary Nand Kumar looking into his past performance, sources claimed today.
The Secretary always wanted to be in the media, because of which he had very little time for the real official planning and strategy, the government felt, they said.
As a reshuffle is also on the card, some officers are lobbying for the post of Secretary for the School Education Department looking into the budgetary allocation, they said.
As such the performance of School Education Department was never satisfactory and previously the Union Minister of State for Human Resources Development had called a press conference at Raipur and questioned the slow progress in various projects also.
The Government is said to be actively evaluating the performance of two secretaries, so that one of them could be given the Department, they said.
