     Raipur, January 6, 2009: Taking action against two of its former Chhattisgarh Presidents ruling BJP today expelled Lok Sabha MP Tara Chand Sahu from the party where as Rajya Sabha MP Shiv Pratap Singh is suspended from the organisation.

       For their anti-party activities the Durg Lok Sabha Member Sahu is expelled where as Rajya Sabha Member Singh is suspended, top party leaders told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com here this evening.

      Both Sahu and Singh are former state BJP presidents and have a grip over the politics of their community Sahu and Tribals respectively, they said.

       On December 11, last notices were issued to them asking for written explanations in seven days why action should not be taken against them for their alleged anti-party activities and indiscipline.

       Sahu had been charged with going against the party line and fielding his daughter for the Zilla Panchayat election. On the Urban local bodies election again he had been accused of putting up candidates against the party candidates.

      Sahu is also accused of opposing the party candidates in the 2008 Assembly elections and deliberately remaining absent from the meetings of the senior party leaders.

      Shiv Pratap Singh is charged with the allegation of not campaigning for the party in other assembly segments and not only inspired his son to contest as a rebel candidate but also forces the party workers to work for the rebel candidate in just concluded assembly election.
