Jagdalpur, November 18, 2024: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today said his government is committed to the preservation and development of the culture and traditions of the tribals and Baiga, Gunia and Sirha of the tribal community will now be given an honorarium of Rs 5,000 every year.

After the meeting of the Bastar Development Authority, the protectors of the tribal tradition, Baiga, Gunia and Sirha were honoured by presenting shawl and coconut in a programme organized at the Circuit House here.
The Chief Minister said that Baiga, Gunia and Sirha of the tribal community will now be given honorarium of Rs 5,000 every year.
This initiative is an important step towards promoting the cultural traditions of the tribal society as well as their economic empowerment, he said.
CM Sai also said the Chhattisgarh government is committed to the preservation and development of the culture and traditions of the tribal society. Such decisions will prove to be helpful in making the tribal areas of Chhattisgarh self-reliant and increasing their pride.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister stressed on the importance of preserving the traditions of the tribal community and making them partners in the development of society.
Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, BJP State President Kiran Dev, former forest minister Mahesh Gagda and local people’s representatives were present.
